The season pass for Resident Evil 7 has been given a bit more detail for those who want more Resident Evil 7 before the end of the year
With only a few more days until Resident Evil 7, we have a lot of excitement and fear to get in check. January 24th is just around the corner and we’ve seen a whole lot more for the game from Capcom and there is of course still a whole lot more we are only going to get when the game lands. It also looks like three is a whole lot more coming to Resident Evil 7 after it launches and into the rest of the year. More so now that the Season Pass has finally been given a bit more detail to it all to entice us to shell out the little bit extra to be sure we get the full experience here. With or without PSVR at that as well.
All of this comes out of the Steam page for Resident Evil 7 where the Season Pass has been given at least the names of what is to come in the DLC after launch. It looks like we have two more “Banned Footage” tapes that do not should like things will end well for Ethan in the game. It also looks like there is an unnamed story chapter to come as well so it looks like it all will expand just a bit more than we could have thought. All of which is also supposed to hit Resident Evil 7 sometime before the end of the year as the date states December 31st of 2017 is the final expected date. So the actual release dates will stay up in the air for now.

Of course this is just speculation here, but I’m guessing that the “Banned Footage” portions here are a lot like what we’ve seen and most likely experienced in the demo for Resident Evil 7 where we learn about a few of the hidden secrets in the mansion by viewing and playing an old tape. I’m not sure how it all wouldn’t be considered Story DLC if that were the true case as these could be used in that way, but it does lead me to think that they are their own little gameplay experiences that just use the characters. Much like we’ve seen in other instances from Capcom in the past. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see though.
Does any of this make you want to pick up Resident Evil 7‘s Season Pass or will it still be something for well after release date? Do you think it could all truly be story-like DLC for the game or will they be completely separate portions that have no bearing on the overall tale? When do you think the actual story DLC will take place in the overall timeline? Let us know down in the comments and feel free to discuss it all. For more on Resident Evil 7 and all of its little extras, be sure to stick around here as we will certainly have it up on the site for you.
