The first gameplay look at Immortals Of Aveum is finally here so we can see some of these Immortals in action before it launches
Teases and more teases have been there for what we will actually get to experience in Immortals Of Aveum in terms of gameplay, but the teasing ends now. For the most part, with Ascendant Studios bringing us the true first look at the gameplay we can expect in this first-person spell-based shooter title. There is still a lot of time until July 20th gets here and we will be able to see what Immortals Of Aveum truly has on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but we will just need to take what we can get for now. Since it is over six minutes of gameplay, I do not think many of us are going to be let down by any of that as of yet.
Now that we have that out of the way, we get to join in with one of the Immortals here as they blast their way through various levels and arena-looking settings. All in a way that feels close to a Bulletstorm bit of gameplay crossed with DOOM. Fast, brutal, and throwing enemies all over the map. All while swapping out magic for the usual guns and melee combat. It does not look like anything new or groundbreaking, but that does not mean that Immortals Of Aveum does not look like it will offer up the same level of fun the other titles listed have in the past. When a formula works, there is really no need to change it up just to change it up.

I do want to comment on the puzzle structure in Immortals Of Aveum that we get to see mixed into all of the fast-paced combat in the game. Some of them look to be the standard environmental affairs that we are used to, but I do enjoy the twist on how the magic is being used. It is nothing new for the genre, sure, but the presentation of having to shoot magic from our hands to try to split into two different eyes all based on our position; it sings to me. Again, this is nothing we have not had a form of before, but in Immortals Of Aveum, the presentation and feel just has my attention. My personal preferences are not like many out there, so mileage will vary on this.
Was the gameplay we had to look at for Immortals Of Aveum all that you hoped for or could there have been something showing off parts of the game we might not expect? Do you think that we will get many environmental puzzles as we have here, or will they be limited and highlight more on the shooting more than anything? Should we also expect to have a fight after each puzzle is solved in the game or was this all just how the video was put together for us? Take to the comments and let the world know what you are thinking when it comes to all of this. There will be more for Immortals Of Aveum, so be sure to keep checking back in for all of those update and everything else that is still to come.
