Take another peek at Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew and how the team is developing Shadow Gambit to enhance the stealth-strategy genre
We have had a good gap of time since we first heard all about Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, so it is high time that Mimimi Games sets sail and offers us all just a bit more to take in. This time in the way of a developer diary, of sorts, that offers up a new character and various other gameplay design choices that they have made along the way. With still so much more time left in 2023 for Shadow Gambit to finally come to light on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, all of this could be changed along the way. For now, though, we can dive in and see just what they have planned and ready for us all to experience in the game’s current form.
Most of what we have here for Shadow Gambit is the same or similar information we have had thus far, but showing off in the gameplay. Things like how the ship we will be on with our other cursed pirates will be a main character and the way we get to the various missions around the world. A world in which we will not have to follow a linear path and can make some poor choices along the way as we send the crew out to do all of their tactical things. Thankfully, we get to see a new character, Toya, who is more of a ninja pirate and shows off a teleportation power we will get to employ in Shadow Gambit. Thus, putting them in two places at the same time when needed or allowing them to dart around and end various guards with swiftness.
