The Magic Is Flowing Out There More For The Upcoming Forspoken

Forspoken — Deep Dive: Magic Combat

The next deep dive into Forspoken is here to go into the Magic Combat we will have when Forspoken launches

We have had a little look at the magic that will be coming to Forspoken with the previous deep dive into the game and the parkour. It gave us a basic look at how we would be mixing the world’s magic into the movement in a very standard way. Now, we are back with Luminous Productions to see just how some of the other magic in the world will work. Some of it is for defense. Some of it is for an offense. All of it in a fun new way for Forspoken. It is time to learn a little more about the game before it lands on the PS5 and PC this coming January 24th.

In Forspoken, it looks like we will have four different types of magic to use. All of them are linked to a color, and presumably, an element in the mix. The main one of focus in this new video will be Earth and Fire or Purple and Red. Both of these seem to come with their own and different offense and defense too. Usually, this is not the case and one would be more of a defense and others to attack. That could be the case for the other forms of magic that are still yet to be shown in Forspoken, but it does feel like we can lean into whichever one we would prefer and stick with it the whole time. Get ready to see another fire mage out there to help Frey get back home.

Forspoken — Deep Dive: Magic Combat

With a wide arsenal of powerful magic at her disposal, Frey can take on the countless twisted foes that lurk in the Break. Mastering multiple magic types enables customizable combat options and numerous ways to fight the enemies threatening the realm of Athia. Get a deeper look at some of Frey’s magical combat abilities in this overview of the Magic Combat system in Forspoken.

Forspoken arrives on January 24, 2023.

Were you expecting the magic of Forspoken to work like every other title out there so far or do you like seeing that we might be able to stick to just one? Is it odd to see the different colors in use for the elements or will it make more sense in the different world we are going to be in? Do you think it is odd to show off the magic specifically now after seeing how it would be used in the parkour and should the showcase have been the other way around? Let us all know down in the comments what you are thinking and then feel free to discuss it all as you so want to. There is more for Forspoken to come, so be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and much more.
