A new action-adventure title, Hell Is Us, is announced with Hell Is Us offering up a new and twisted setting to make it through
With a name like Hell Is Us, it could be easy to assume that the latest title we have announced from Rogue Factor will be some kind of horror title. Which, in fairness, it could be as all we have is a little tease for the game, but the same could be said about any title out there. That said, what we have from NACON today is an announcement of a game that is coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC that is more of a third-person action title. This is why you should not judge games by their titles or you could have written off Hell Is Us based on just that alone. Especially as the trailer we have for the game does look to lean into some different directions too.
The teaser we have here does not offer up much, but we do get to see some hints of the semi-open world that Hell Is Us will hold and how the civil war that ravaged it will leave it all. There also seems to be a drone that can attach to our player and all kinds of other imagery that we can take away from it all. Given that our character will need to set out to learn more of their past and that of the world of Hell Is Us, I guess it is good that we are stuck here with everything. Then we will have something to look forward to in 2023 to experience that has not been ruined with this nice little teaser.
Hell Is Us — Teaser Trailer
Hell Is Us is a third-person action-adventure game set in a semi-open world where the main character sets out to learn more about his past in a country ravaged by civil war. The almost total self-sufficiency of the country hides a dark secret: the recent appearance of supernatural creatures resembling ancient headstones and monuments in the region. The citizens call this phenomenon “the Calamity”. Armed with weapons specially forged to fight these monsters, the protagonist must learn how to defeat them and use his equipment wisely.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Hell Is Us will be available in 2023 on PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
From the little that we have for Hell Is Us, what are your first thoughts on it? Does it feel like it is going to be a vastly different game once it launches or have you read too little into what the teaser offers? How much of the cyberpunk elements do you think will be mixed in and could we see some other true horrors along the way too? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If we have more for Hell Is Us, we will share it all here. Please keep checking back in for all of that and everything else we have to offer up.
