Babylon’s Fall latest explains to us the inner workings of some of the combat coming in Babylon’s Fall
In just over a week from now, we will be able to start our combat path in Babylon’s Fall on the PS4, PS5, and PC. It is rather crazy how fast March 3rd rolled up on us here and I am sure Platinum Games is ready to get the game in our hands. That would be one of the reasons that we have a new 101 video for Babylon’s Fall that will walk us through some of the basics of the game’s combat. It will have a few different weapon styles and ways to defend ourselves in the game, so it will be worth taking the full note of it all and get ready for that bigger launch next week. Let us dive into it all now and see what we have going on here.
It looks as if Babylon’s Fall will be following the ways of many of the other titles that have come before with about four different ways to engage in combat. We are going to have those fast melee attacks with some slower and harder hammer attacks. It should be more broad once the game opens up, but that is what we get in the following video. Then there is the ranged that takes form in physical and mystical attacks. All to round out Babylon’s Fall with our shields. This is something that looks like it will be its own thing, as the characters do not seem to be holding anything else beyond the shield in the video here. They do get the ability to bounce back and reflect damage, so maybe that is how they will bring down our enemies out there in the world.
Babylon’s Fall — Combat 101
Begin your journey as a Sentinel, one of many unwilling subjects forcibly implanted with Gideon Coffins, relics that grant the few survivors unrivaled powers. Ishum, the chief engineer of the Sentinel force, will be your guide as he educates you on how to use the incredible gutworks in the Gideon Coffins to quad-wield various weapons and navigate the Tower tiers. He will also reveal how to customize and upgrade gear, acquire set bonuses and gather loot in order to get the most out of the epic combat that will be available in the demo.
Developed in partnership with renowned action specialists, Platinum Games, the demo provides multiple hours of story content and limitless multi-player to give players a significant head-start for strengthening their Sentinel. All progress and achievements will be carried over to the full version of the game on PlayStation platforms following the official launch on March 3.
The epic world of Babylon’s Fall is coming to the PlayStation 5 console, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
How are you feeling about the combat we have here for Babylon’s Fall and does it feel very basic? Do you think we will see a broader scope of weapons out there or will it be as limited as the video shows? Do you think that the shields will be their own thing or will we be able to mix everything in here with other weapons we have? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. More for Babylon’s Fall should be on the way, so be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much more as time marches forward. We only have a little over a week now.
