The first official trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released and it is just as much a tease for Red Dead Redemption 2 as we’ve had all week
All week so far we’ve had tease after tease for Red Dead Redemption 2 and then we had the official announcement. With that announcement Rockstar Games let loose that we would also be getting the first trailer for the game today (10/20) and they kept to their word. I’m sure that is why you are here; just so you can get a look at Red Dead Redemption 2 before Take-Two Interactive begins the marketing campaign to get us to Fall of 2017 when the game is slated to hit the PS4 and Xbox One. Just another year now for all of you rabid fans out there and I’m sure it is going to be killer for you.
Without any more holding back, I present to you the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 in all of the glory it has to bring.
Red Dead Redemption 2 — Trailer
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
Did we just get trolled a little bit? That really did nothing to show off Red Dead Redemption 2 in any new way. All it did was show us that the game is going to look up to par with our current standards for graphics and still be taking place in the old west. Two things that I am sure we all were certain on before the trailer even went live. Why was there even any kind of wait on bringing this to us after the announcement? It really made no sense for the delay outside of to build some kind of buzz that will most likely fall flat by the time you are reading this.
All of this build up made it feel like Rockstar Games was going to give us some great insight into Red Dead Redemption 2 and any of the new mechanics that would be coming with it. Hells, it could have even been a very basic overview of the grand story we’ll be playing out. Instead it feels like a lot of wasted build up for a very small pay off. Just another tease to ensure us that the Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement was a real thing and not just some fan made item. I guess it does have us talking about it just a bit more than anything so it did work in that regard but I’m almost certain it will fall of the map until we get an actual showing of the game.
What did you think about the first Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer here? Were you expecting more or was this just about what you were expecting since the first announcement? Do you think we are going to have to wait a long time before we get any real new updates and in-game showing of the RDR2? Let us know your thoughts and feelings on all of this down in the comments and discuss. If anything new for Red Dead Redemption 2 is released from Take-Two Interactive we will have it up on the site here. Be sure to keep checking in for all of that in the, hopefully, near future.
