A new horror VR games, Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife, is announced to bring us all the ability to experience a Wraith from the World Of Darkness
It is hard to hold back my excitement, as we now have an announcement for Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife heading to all of the various VR platforms. This is another in the growing list of World Of Darkness titles that are coming with this one coming from Fast Travel Games. Wraith also happens to be my most favorite from the IPs under the belt there. It could be because of the darkness in the setting here or the fact that it has you playing as a ghost of yourself in the underworld with all kinds of things going on there. Which makes it kind of odd to add the Afterlife tag to the title here, but I am sure it is because not everyone knows the IP as well as some of us here.
All we have here for Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife is just an announcement with a little tease as to what is going on in the game. Sadly, there is no gameplay for is as of yet and that will come in August. This is just a bit of a tease for the location we will be wandering around in that gives a bit of a hint as to how it will link into the universe of it all. It would be interesting to see if Wraith also linked into all of the other WoD games like Vampire and Werewolf, but I am certain that will not be the case. At the end of it all, I just want to be able to Moliate other ghosts in VR while fighting off my own Shadow. Now that is the big aspect of the game, I am curious to see how they implement in the game.
Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife — Announcement
No one got out alive… not even you.
Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife is a VR horror game set in the World Of Darkness, and the next title coming from us at Fast Travel Games. Afterlife shares the same universe as Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, where monsters live among us. For the first time ever, enter the World Of Darkness in VR and play from the perspective of a Wraith.
Afterlife will be released on all major VR platforms.
Have you ever heard of Wraith before now or is this the nice little taste to get you interested? Would you want to see all of this linked together even though they there are all from different studios here? How deep into the gameplay mechanics do you think that we will see them go in the VR setting or will we lose a few things given the way tabletop leaps over to the digital? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. We will have everything we can for Wraith: The Oblivion — Afterlife here on the site. Keep coming back for all of that and much more.
