A new track for Someday You’ll Return is released to give a better feel for how Someday You’ll Return will offer up more of the Moravian culture
We still have a bit of time to wait or Someday You’ll Return to hit the PC and there is still so much to look for in the game. Do not worry, it is still heading to the PC on April 14th and the PS4 and Xbox One sometime later in the year. CBE Software has not changed that here as of yet. What they are here to offer up is a new song from the soundtrack of the game and a bit more of the environments in Someday You’ll Return that we will be wandering around in. Kind of a nice mix of both when other games out there are only offering up the song and nothing new to look at while you listen. Those games know who they are…
Moving along, what we have here is a new look at the Morvarian forests of Someday You’ll Return we will be wandering about while looking for our lost daughter. What we hear over all of that is a new song by Gabriela Vermelho that is a Moravian Folk song that will be featured in the game too. All to give us a better world built in Someday You’ll Return to add to the immersion of us on this harrowing journey. That is the goal, at least, and the song here does help ground things a bit more for me. Something that many games out there do not do so very well. I am just glad to see that this is not going to be one of them. Have a look and listen just below and get what I am talking about here.
The Music Of Someday You’ll Return
Today, CBE Software is proud to release the video for the Moravian Folk Song featured on the soundtrack for Someday You’ll Return, their psychological horror game launching April 14 for Windows PC.
This Moravian folk song is performed by the multi-talented Gabriela Vermelho, who also performs some of the music in the game. Along with her beautiful singing, the video features in-game areas highlighting the Moravian region. Moravia is a historic part in the east of the Czech Republic and home to the Moravian people. The land is mountainous with beautiful sunlit forest, which can anytime change into dark urban landscapes coming straight out of Daniel’s worst nightmares. These wild, unpredictable regions are the setting for Someday You’ll Return. This ancient land holds both history and secrets to be discovered by players as they try to find their missing daughter.
Someday You’ll Return is a narrative-driven psychological horror game with intimate concepts of fatherhood, fears, lies, and refusal to accept one’s past. You play Daniel, father of Stela, your runaway daughter. While trying to find her, you’re forced by events to return to a place that you swore never to return to, the ancient Moravian forests.
While the story contains strong horror elements it’s not always the most obvious monsters that are the most frightening. While your survival skills and quick wits may advance your search, malevolent forces rise up against you keeping you and Stela apart. As your search leads deep into both the woods and your mind, it reveals secrets that should have stayed buried. Where are you, Stela?
Where are you at in the interest for Someday You’ll Return at this point? Do you let the music and soundtrack of games play to your emotions or do you normally get too focused in to truly notice it all? Do you think that more titles need to work on world-building like this or is it too much effort for something that could get lost? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. For more on Someday You’ll Return, be sure to keep checking in on the site here. We will keep is all coming to you up to and after it launches next month.
