A new third-person title, Devil’s Hunt, has been announced and it looks like we are going back to Hell for the adventures of Devil’s Hunt as well
Game developers sure do love to use Hell as the backdrop of their games recently and we have yet another in that same vein announced here with Devil’s Hunt. This would be the next title coming out of Layopi Games and 1C Company for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2019. It was just given the announcement treatment so we all know what they are all working on as well as a nice little teaser of what to expect in Devil’s Hunt. At least in terms of theme as I am not seeing much in the way of what I would call gameplay in the teaser we were given, but it is something to look at and get excited over. That is at least if you have been aching to take on another video game in Hell. Although, this one does look to have potential.
Devil’s Hunt — Announcement
The war between Demons and Angels takes you to hell and back in this third-person action game. You are Desmond, the one man with demonic powers who can decide the fate of our world by joining either side of the conflict.
In Devil’s Hunt, players will go to hell and back in the battle between Demons and Angels. In this upcoming third-person perspective (TPP) action game developed for PC and console by Layopi Games, players will become Desmond, a man with demonic powers who can decide the fate of our world by joining either side of the conflict. Based on the original hit Polish fantasy novel, “Equilibrium,” Devil’s Hunt brings to life the eternal fight between light and darkness as an all-out war between Demons and Angels appears imminent with the mortal world as the battleground. Desmond can fight using his fists and claws, making use of the skills his demonic and human sides offer—but ultimately he must choose which side he will follow. The game is planned for release in 2019.
In Devil’s Hunt, we are Desmond (not of AC fame) and we have been pulled into the war between Angels and Demons. Their war has spilled over yet again and we have some power to stop it all. We will get to fight like a demon in the game as we will have multiple attacks, weapons, and other things we have claimed from them. As well as a Demon form that we can shift back and forth to overcome obstacles and access other skills. Why there is now Angel form in Devil’s Hunt, I do not know, but that is what we have for it all so far. Outside of the usual “deep story” and “rich world” tags that also are thrown at titles in this vein here. The proof will be in the gameplay though.
Given what we do have to see here for Devil’s Hunt, I will say that it is looking like a blending of [PROTOTYPE] and Darksiders when all is said and done. There is a more realistic take on the visuals than those titles, but the look and feel of it all seems very close. This is a great thing in my eyes as I have loved both of those franchises there and would love to see Devil’s Hunt be added to the lists there. We will need to wait until next year sometime, but all kidding aside; I am excited to see what Layopi Games can put out there for us. Now to sit back and wait.
That is my thought though and we want to know what you are thinking about Devil’s Hunt as it stands? Are you getting burnt out on the Hell narrative thing or will you be looking for more of it in the near future? Do you agree that it sounds and looks like those other games I mentioned or will it be its own thing completely? Let us have those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When we have more to share for Devil’s Hunt, you will have it. Until then, just stick close to the site here and keep an eye out for all of those updates. We will hopefully have them all soon for you.
