Welcome To The New Pack Of Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood

Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood — Dev Diary #1

A developer diary for Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood is here to take us in on the Werewolf story, inspiration, and gameplay coming soon

Here we go with more of the main story we are going to be seeing and experiencing when Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood launches soon. Story, gameplay, and the inspiration that Cyanide used to help bring this version of the game to life. All of which is something to place us better in the role of a werewolf in the World Of Darkness beyond just a pen and paper version of it all. I do hope you knew at least that much before coming in. If not, then get ready for the first developer diary to offer up not only tidbits of gameplay but to fill in some of those gaps some of us have been assuming for a while.

It looks like in this version of Werewolf, our main character will not only be a Ronin that had to turn away from his pack for some reason but it looks like he was one of the Ahroun warriors of the Fianna. For those outside of the scope of the tabletop information, these would be the tribe of werewolves that are based around the Celtic traditions and known to be fierce warriors in the fight against the Wyrm. At least for a very simplified version of things. All of this we could gather from the trailers so far, but now it is placed down for us to know. Something that will also be good to know when the Lore Keepers of the tribe start giving us all of the exposition for those not well-versed in everything Werewolf.

They kind of gloss over the events that caused the split and why we need to go back to the tribe, but there is a five-year gap between all of that. It does look like it will be to get some form of help to take on the global company that is working directly toward the goals of the Wyrm and thus the destruction of the world and nature. Kind of a staple in the stories we have in the Werewolf genre but it works. We need to have solid reasons to Rage out and leave a bloody mess behind for our character to wonder what happened.
