More characters for Injustice 2 have been given a breakdown and we get to see even more Injustice 2 gameplay and fights to enjoy
I hope you are ready for another massive Injustice 2 information dump as that is what we have here today. We had a look at the Gear System a little earlier in the week but now we have a follow up from NetherRealm Studios in the way of character breakdowns and a new trailer for an already announced character; Scarecrow. While none of this brings a new character to light for Injustice 2, it does give us a great look at said character as well as Gorilla Grodd, Firestorm, Green Arrow, and Black Adam. Like I said, it is a massive dump for the game and its characters so let us dive right in.
First we have a better look at Scarecrow in Injustice 2 as before he was only shown as more or less as a basic character in other trailers. Now we get to find out that he is more of a ranged brawler, if that makes sense, and has the ability to grab at a distance as well as teleport around the fighting area. I’ll continue my thought that he looks to handle a lot like Scorpion from MK but with some great and major differences. The bigger one being his character ability that needs to be charged by the fear he generates in Injustice 2. Mainly as you hit with the fear toxin it boosts up and then allows you to unleash a pretty heavy and quick attack. Not too shabby as the rest of his moves have a bit of a windup to them.
Injustice 2 — Introducing Scarecrow!
Scarecrow
Scarecrow plays on the fears of the unknown to inflict terror on his victims. An anarchist obsessed with using chemistry and psychology to spread and study fear. He joins the Society in order to sow panic on a global scale.

Next we have a look at Gorilla Grodd for Injustice 2. This has been a character that has been shown off since almost the beginning so it is a bit weird that NetherRealm Studios waited so long to show him off, but here we go none the less. As is expected from him, he is more of a grappler in the matches and a pretty powerful one at that. Of course his character power and moves are all about the extra psychic abilities the character has. More or less he is one of the more straight-forward characters in Injustice 2 so far but that doesn’t mean he is not one of the most liked. I can easily see him becoming the bane of many players but also a massive boon.

Firestorm is next on the plate here as another character we’ve seen many times for Injustice 2 and now we have a proper showing of his moves and abilities. As I mentioned before, he looks to play a lot like Dr. Fate, including his super move, but all with the nuclear fire he is made of instead of magic. His character ability is another that needs to be charged up in a match but also has three different tiers that can be fired off. The maximum level obviously making him a huge physical force to be reckoned with as he burns hotter and bits harder. What is interesting though is that the lower levels of the ability also allow for him to heal in a match which could potentially make him immortal to a great player.

The last two characters on our Injustice 2 character dump don’t really have solid breakdowns just yet, but there is some gameplay we can look and speculate on. Green Arrow looks to be just like the other characters than hopped over from Injustice just with the updates and changes to make him feel different. He still has his different arrow types and some of his combos are very close to what we’ve seen before. Then we have Black Adam who is new for Injustice 2 and more or less just has his super move shown and his character power to look at. It’s still not specific but he generates three lightning balls around him that I am guessing will work like Batman’s Batarangs of sorts. At least until we have a solid breakdown for him too.
