Super Mario RPG — Remake Japanese

More to look at for the Super Mario RPG remake is here with a longer cut of the Japanese version of Super Mario RPG

The release of the Super Mario RPG remake is rapidly approaching us all here with November 17th just a few weeks away. For some of us out there, this will give us a reason to pick up the Switch again and see how Nintendo is pressing forward with some of their games. That is at least how it feels around the offices here. Many of us are huge fans of the original Super Mario RPG from so long ago. This is why we will always be back here to share anything we have for the game, even if many of our audience may not be able to understand what is being said. This is a Japanese version of it all but it still gives us some fun gameplay to look at and enjoy.

Like I said, unless you understand Japanese, most of the dialog is going to go over your head in this new video for Super Mario RPG. For those who do not care or understand, we get to see a few more of the boss fights, new level layouts, and how some of the basic actions will still be performed in the game. Along with a bunch of looks at how the game has been fully remade and not just a simple port with some new graphics on top of it all. It does sound like there is a mix of how to play Super Mario RPG mixed in, which for older fans, it will come second nature out there. For the newer fans, it looks as if it will be as basic and easy as possible that even a language barrier will not hold you back. That and you get to be further surprised when it drops out there in a few weeks. Enough of all of that for now. Have a look and see the new footage we have here for the game.

Super Mario RPG — Remake Japanese

Check out the latest Japanese trailer for the upcoming Super Mario RPG remake, showcasing turn-based combat, updated graphics, various biomes, minigames, and more. Super Mario RPG will be available on Nintendo Switch on November 17, 2023.

I do find it curious that no matter the spoken language, the gameplay elements of Super Mario RPG come across insanely well. Like the fact it will be a basic turn-based RPG still and that pressing specific buttons at the right time will hit harder or block better. Some of this we knew from past videos for Super Mario RPG, but it comes across so well in all of the visuals here, that if you did not care about the story at all, you could play the game in a non-native language and still thrive. Unless that is my nostalgia brain kicking in and just remembering the basics of the game from when I was younger and was able to experience it all for the first time. Both of these are valid and understandable if so.

What do you think about the remake we are about to get for Super Mario RPG and does it look like it is going to shine? Does it make sense that the gameplay would go above the language barrier some might have out there or did you need a better explanation in the mix? Do you like having the foreign trailers in the mix here or do you want us to stick to the native languages most of our audience speaks? Take to the comments and then feel free to discuss all of this as you will. More for the Super Mario RPG remake will be coming, so please keep on coming back to see and hear all of that as we head toward the pending release date of it all.
