Monstrum Will Soon Be Creeping Its Way Onto The Consoles

Monstrum — Gameplay Trailer

It was recently announced that Monstrum would be making its way onto the PS4 and Xbox One so even more gamers can experience what Monstrum has to offer

If you have missed out on Monstrum since it first launched on PC so long ago, it looks like you will have another chance to give the game a go. At least if you are interested in playing the game on the PS4 or Xbox One as it looks like SOEDESCO is finally bringing the game over to these platforms. It did seem to take a while there, but Team Junkfish will finally get their game on the consoles so even more gamers can experience what Monstrum has to offer in terms of a Rogue-like Survival Horror title. Let that sink in for a moment and then we will move on.

The console version of Monstrum will come in two forms for those interested. You most likely guessed it, but we will have a digital and a physical form of the game to purchase when it is ready to launch on the consoles. Given that the date for that is still “coming soon,” your guess is as best as mine for when you will be able to purchase or pre-order Monstrum if it looks like a game you will want to play. It could have a whole lot of replay value given the procedural nature of things, but having to take on some pretty big hitters in a closed and terrifying environment may make you put it back down after a short while.

Monstrum — Gameplay Trailer

Recently SOEDESCO made a monstrous announcement — they will bring Monstrum to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition to a digital console version, they will also release a physical version of the game worldwide. Monstrum is a sinister, procedurally generated survival horror game developed by Team Junkfish.

Monstrum is procedurally generated, so in each playthrough players will face new fears and will have to invent new tactics. The goal of the game is to escape an abandoned cargo ship, infested by one of three daunting monsters called the Brute, the Fiend, and the Hunter. Each monster has its own behavior and requires a distinct approach. This, combined with the fact that the arena is different every time, makes Monstrum a unique experience with every playthrough.

How do you feel about Monstrum finally getting a console release after this long? Do you think that it will revitalize the player base for the game or is it just something to keep the developer and publisher afloat while they work on their next title? Have you played it on PC and think it will be a good port over to the consoles? Let us and the world know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Monstrum, if there is any things else, be sure to keep an eye on the site here. We will update you with whatever we can find out there.
