Mad Catz Is Getting Back Into The Game After Being Slightly Dead

Mad Catz — Back In The Game

Gaming peripheral maker Mad Catz is back after only being dead to the world for a short while and hitting us hard with new Mad Catz products for CES

Early last year we all caught wind that Mad Catz was filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, was thought to be liquidating, and looking like it would not be coming back to bring us any more hardware to play our games with. It was sad news for a lot and seemed like we would need to start looking to the competition for more of what we wanted for our PC and/or consoles. At least if you are into having flashier things and cool add-ons to make your gaming experience just that little bit extra special. Either way, Mad Catz went down and gamers moved on as they usually do when it comes to things like this. This is of course until now as it looks like the company is back and trying to hit the ground running with some new hardware for us all to give a try and maybe improve our game.

Over the last few days there were a few rumblings out there that Mad Catz could be coming back, and now they are and heading out to this year’s CES to show off some of the wares that will be banking on to bring them completely back into the game. It looks like the restructuring and everything went well for them as they do have a new headset, keyboard, and gaming mouse set up to show off and hopefully win us all back after a month of us all thinking them dead in the water. If they will go down the same paths they did as with Rock Band and the like is still up in the air, but we can look to have their products back in the mix here soon. Hopefully, you did not fully give up on Mad Catz as of yet.

Are you glad to see that Mad Catz is back and trying to do what they were good at or do you think it will be another attempt to prolong the inevitable? Do you think that the “restructuring” and new items they have here will bring them back into the gaming world as they once were or will it be another attempt that should not have been given? Could they get back into making items for specific games again or will they stay making generalized hardware to cast as large of a net as possible? Give us all of your thoughts and feelings on this down in the comments and then discuss. Of course, as Mad Catz puts out new products that catch our eyes, we will have it all here for you. We will also be out at CES to take a look at these, so be sure to keep checking back in to see how it all goes.
