It’s Time To See If BioShock: The Collection Has Been Upgraded Perfectly

BioShock: The Collection — Remastered Comparison

A new comparison video for BioShock: The Collection has been released and now we can see if the original BioShock titles have been upgraded enough to justify the collection

It took so long for BioShock: The Collection to finally get the announcement and date for us but now that September 13th is quickly approaching it would be nice to see if there is good reason to repurchase all of these titles again. I’m sure 2K Games would want me to tell you that you have to right now but that wouldn’t dictate if Blind Squirrel did an amazing job or not. There are three BioShock titles here that needed some touchups and now we have a good view at the upgrades that have been done from the originals.

Yes, we have an official comparison video for BioShock: The Collection to see and help us gauge how the work has gone so far. I won’t hold you up more for now but have a look at it and start to form your own thoughts on it all. I’ll see you after the video to keep the thoughts rolling.

BioShock: The Collection — Remastered Comparison

Is it just me or did this seem more of a focus on BioShock more than anything here? I know I saw a few other bits in there but it was mostly a comparison of the original title and not the other two that will be coming. I’m not saying that there isn’t going to be much of an upgrade for those games but it would have been nice to see the work Blind Squirrel put in there and not just the original. Maybe we’ll get looks at the others in the coming weeks but I have a feeling that won’t be the case.

It does look like they did take the game leaps and bounds from the original though. At least as much as they could have here. I hope we do get to see the same level of detail for all of the titles in BioShock: The Collection but we’ll have to wait and see. I think Infinite will most likely be the same as before just with the new controller schemes being added in as that game looked amazing from the start already. It was out right before the new consoles landed and was already on the edge there.

What do you think of the upgraded visuals for BioShock: The Collection here? Do you find it odd that we saw more of the first title here than anything or does it make sense given the releases of the other titles to the current gen systems? Do you care and are just happy to get to replay everything all in one place again? Let us know and feel free to discuss in the comments below. For all things BioShock: The Collection though, be sure to stay right here as we’ll keep bringing you more as it all comes.
