Console Gamers Will Lose Their Minds As Conarium Is Coming

Conarium — Logo

It has been officially announced that Conarium will be heading to the major consoles this year so more players can lose their minds with Conarium

If you felt like you missed out on Conarium due to not having a gaming PC or choosing to play there, then you will be glad to know that now the game is heading over to the PS4 and Xbox One. Sorry to those Switch gamers out there, as it does not look like Iceberg Interactive has any plans to have Zoetrope Interactive to bring it over there. Maybe in the future, but for now Conarium is looking to expand out to the other major consoles on the market. Most likely due to the relative success the game has already had when it launched last year on Steam. Now 2018 will get to add this title to the list of releases.

For those who may not have heard of Conarium, it is a title that was heavily influenced by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and will have us playing as Frank Gilman. He wakes up in an Antarctic base with no memory of how he got there or what is going on. Only that he knows he died at some point and has returned with a few changes. Obviously, he wants to know what is going on and that will set us forth on the quest to do just that. A task that would be much easier if he could rely on his senses and memories to help guide him through. That is why we are there I a guess. It still looks like a nice and twisted tale that will be coming to a whole new audience out there. I know I am excited.

Conarium — Launch Trailer

Conarium is a chilling Lovecraftian game, which follows a gripping story involving four scientists and their endeavor to challenge what we normally consider to be the ‘absolute’ limits of nature. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s novella “At the Mountains of Madness”, but largely set after the original story.

You, as Frank Gilman, open your eyes inside a room filled with strange, pulsating noises. Patterns of lights executing a Danse Macabre on the walls is presented by a queer device on the table. Having recalled nothing other than that you’re in Upuaut, an Antarctic base located near Antarctica, you find the place deserted and have a distinct feeling of something being terribly wrong. Somehow knowing that your memories cannot guide you enforces a strange feeling of vulnerability, a familiar yet alien sensation of being a part of a peculiar whole… Soon you will discover that having used the device during the expedition, you have died but then returned subtly changed, speaking of strange memories and of strange places. You have lost something important or gained something sinister…

Have you had a chance to play Conarium already or will this be your first chance now that it is coming to consoles? Do you like the H.P. Lovecraft setting and world or do you think it is being used too much in video games as of late? Could this all become ‘canon’ for At The Mountains Of Madness even though it is set well after the book’s events? Give us all of your fun and twisted thoughts on this down in the comments and then discuss. When we get more for Conarium, we will have it here on the site for you. Just make sure you stick around so you are here for when it all comes.
