Music Sim. Updates/News

Like I stated before, I am going to hook ya up with all the fun stuff I find out about the Music Simulation games. So here we go.

Top Gun Theme Free on Guitar Hero III

So for you patriotic people, or at least those that like to feel it, here is a new song for GHIII. Not really an anthem of the country, but at least it is one for a movie that has the strong feeling of America. That is the “Anthem” for Top Gun. Who doesn’t get that un chill down their back when hearing that? Huh? But the best part, it’s free. So you don’t have to drop half a tank of gas picking up the song either. Maybe use the stimulus checks for what they were intended for. I jest. But check it out and below is a version of the song to get ya going for this free download.

“TOP GUN ANTHEM” TO LAND ON GUITAR HERO® III: LEGENDS OF ROCK AS FREE DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT FOR FOURTH OF JULY SANTA MONICA, CA – July 1, 2008 – Grab your wingman and fire up the F-14 for the announcement today of a special Fourth of July treat for Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero III®: Legends of Rock fans. Rock Band 2 Guitar Revealed

So here is a look at the new Guitar for Rock Band. I’m not too sure about it though. Yea, it looks nice, but the only difference I have read about so far is that it will cut down on the “click” sounds that the current controller makes when playing. Not really a seller for me and the new controller. At least for the guitar. But like I posted before, all the instruments from RBI will work with RBII, so you can go cafeteria on these things.

It is good to read that their plan is to innovate then perfect. Make sense to me. Just curious on why the wood finish. I’d just slap stickers over it myself. But I guess those who want to have that kind of thing is in luck.

Who Pack Announcement

I brought this up before, but they didn’t list the tracks that were going to be on this list. So here there are. Some really really great songs from them as well. Enough to balance out the ones that are not as great. Here are some links in case you have never heard some of the songs, or just forgot what the title was. I mean, they have My Generation and Summer Time Blue on there. I’m usually not a fan of the long ass pauses in the music of the Who, but they are great songs for the game. Check them out.
