Get ready to see a bit more for The Expanse as we go behind the scenes with the team building The Expanse: A Telltale Series
More for The Expanse is still on the way for those fans out there that have been waiting, somewhat, patiently to dive into the space drama again. This time it is going to be coming from the minds over at Deck Nine Games and Telltale Games, but with the latest behind the scenes video we have for the game, we can see how it is going to be a bit more than just a video game adaptation to keep the IP. In fact, as you are about to see here for The Expanse: A Telltale Series, it is going to add a whole lot more to the universe while still keeping as faithful as possible to the source. Mostly as it will be creating its own thing and not just relying on what we have seen dozens of times before already on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. As long as we can wait until this Summer before throwing up our hands in frustration.
As you will hear in this new video, and just like many others in the past, all of the teams involved with this game are huge fans of The Expanse in the first place. This leads them to try to build a new story and retell others over the course of the long-running IP along with the IP holders signing off on all of it. Not the biggest of surprises here. The interesting part, while also getting to see a little more of the in-game footage, is that what was written seemed to fit in without many tweaks. That and the developers were also able to get some of the other gameplay features Telltale is not truly known for mixed in for The Expanse: A Telltale Series. So, not only will this run in an episodic manner, but it will have a few things we may not expect from a title that has their label on it. Have a look and see just what we can expect here in the coming months from this game.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series — Building On The Expanse [BTS]
Oye Beltalowda!
The Expanse is already an amazing universe to explore thanks to the work of James S.A. Corey. So how did we build upon the show? We go behind the scenes with the dev team to talk more about the creative process and how we worked to create a game true to The Expanse universe, but still welcoming to first-timers unfamiliar with the show.
Have you been a huge fan of The Expanse before now and are you put to rest a bit with the signs they are writing things in the correct way? What new gameplay features do you think we are going to see in this game and will we see any of the over-the-top ones from other games the publisher has out there? Where do you suspect this will fit into the timeline of everything and will it be easy for long-time and newcomers to pick up and fully enjoy? Tell us all of those thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do out there. We will have much more to share for The Expanse: A Telltale Series in the coming weeks, so please keep coming back here to check it all out and get ready for more. Unless you are not a true fan of the IP here…
