The release date for Superliminal is set down and this puzzler will soon be teaching us why it is called Superliminal
The market for good puzzle games has felt a little dry as of late, which is why I am glad to see that Superliminal is on its way and launching at us on November 12th for the PC. I know this is going to leave some of you gamers out given how you like to play, but if you want to see more from Pillow Castle Games then you will have to get behind this one. I mean, if enough gamers out there on the PC get behind Superliminal there is the chance it can make it to other platforms. Wishful thinking, but for now we are going to focus on what is coming for us all now. Something I know I am sad that I am only getting around to for now…
For those that have been out of the loop, like me, here we have a look at Superliminal and how it will be using the first-person gameplay we all know and using it to warp our perceptions to make all the puzzles interesting and fun. I guess, warp perceptions is not the best way as we will be using our forced perception in the game to manipulate items and progress through. It also looks as if Superliminal will also be using the same aspects to mess with us in return to make certain puzzles not as much of a cakewalk as it might seem. Have a look at the new trailer and see if you are going to be in on this one as it does look to have that Portal feel that was all the rage a while ago. I know that has caught my eye, as I am ready for a break from the traditional games we have had as of late.
Superliminal — Launch Trailer
Developer Pillow Castle Games is thrilled to officially announce that its forced-perspective puzzle game, Superliminal, will be available for Windows on November 12th, 2019. Soon you’ll be able to get lost in your thoughts, as you feel the satisfaction of figuring out each solution and advancing in this mysterious, surreal world. To celebrate the launch date announcement, you can check out the brand new trailer.
Superliminal is a single-player, first-person puzzle game that uses perception as a mechanic. You play as someone who wakes up in a surprisingly lucid dream. As you complete puzzles to get to the next exit, certain patterns and truths become more apparent. In this game, everything is exactly what it seems to be! Wait, no… that’s not right. Everything is the opposite of what you think it is? That’s not correct either. This is a game about breaking expectations and thinking outside the box. What you see is what you get. Literally.
Are you ready to see everything that Superliminal has to offer or is this your first introduction to it all? Do you agree that it looks to have that Portal vibe to it all or will you need to see more of the gameplay to make that call? How do you think the game will mess with us back with all of the various perception pieces or will it be more of what we have seen in the video here? Let us all know down in the comments. If there is more to share for Superliminal, I will have it here for you. Just be sure to keep coming back to the site for that and much more.
