Liminal Point Creeps Out With Some New & Chilling Gameplay For Us

Liminal Point — Gameplay

New gameplay for Liminal Point is here, and it shows off how much inspiration Liminal Point took from other IPs

The creeps are wandering out there, with some new gameplay for Liminal Point. This is that isometric horror title that we brought up a while ago, with HideWorks driving it all forward onto the PC. A solid little bit of fun was had back when it was announced, and now, we have a look at some of the actual gameplay for Liminal Point. A solid choice to drop it all right before Halloween. Even if it will be called out for feeling a bit too much like a few other titles out there. The team took some inspiration from those, but from the gameplay here, it looks like it is only in theme and tone, and not directly the gameplay. Let’s dig into all of that before it is called out further.

Those looking at it will see right from the jump, Liminal Point is a title in the same theme as Silent Hill and Resident Evil. In fact, the cinematic scenes we have in the video here could easily be mistaken for those titles if we didn’t know better. That is where the gameplay for Mira comes in as she sets out to find a missing bandmate in the figgy world out there. One filled with all manner of twisted horrors that we will need to shoot and bypass along the way. All from the 3/4th view that feels as if it doesn’t get the same level of love in the current generation of titles. Let’s see if Liminal Point will do some work to bring it back, or leave us all looking forward to future titles that will bring us the fears, just with the modern touch to it all.
