The console launch for Labyrinthine is finally here after Labyrinthine was on the PC for so very long
Get your puzzle and maze-solving skills ready to go, with the latest release we have for Labyrinthine. A title that Valko Games has had on the PC for a bit now, but with the help of Klabater, we are finally going to see the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers joining in the fun. Especially since this version of Labyrinthine has the added feature of allowing cross-platform play when it comes to the multiplayer aspect of it all. If you have been watching others playing Labyrinthine for a while now and had to miss out, well, now is the time to take a look and see about joining in the fun. There are more ways to play, and we should be taking advantage of all of them.
As the title pretty much suggests, Labyrinthine will take us into a world where we will need to navigate a bit of a maze and also survive over 30 monsters out to make sure we don’t. We can do this with up to eight friends, or go in for the core story mode and play through 6 different chapters to try and understand what is going on out there. All so we can level up our skills in the real world, as well as in Labyrinthine, so we can unlock more to play with in the game. Like more levels and other cosmetics. All so we can show off with our friends in the various multiplayer case files that we will be able to play our way through, too. Even if some of the visuals feel a little dated and the core gameplay loop looks like it will flow the same each time. As long as we are all having fun, does any of that truly matter? Have a look and see if it will be some of the fun you will be undertaking now that it has a wider release.
Labyrinthine — Console Launch Trailer
Klabater, and Valko Games proudly announce that Labyrinthine Console Edition is OUT NOW on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing the acclaimed co-op horror experience to consoles for the first time, complete with cross-platform multiplayer support.
Labyrinthine, a first-person, multiplayer cooperative horror game, offers an unforgettable journey into the realm of nightmares. With an emphasis on exploration, puzzle-solving, and atmospheric storytelling, it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Team up with your friends and navigate through the intricate maze, solve cryptic puzzles, and uncover the maze’s dark secrets while staying one step ahead of the lurking terrors. Cooperative play is at the game’s core; you can play alone, but Labyrinthine encourages teamwork and voice communication between up to 8 players to face the darkness.
Two Distinct Gaming Experiences.
In Story Mode, you play as one of up to eight players called to help set up a new attraction for the town fair. Once you arrive, you soon discover that a fellow employee, Joan, has decided to investigate strange disappearances on the property next to the fairground. As you follow her trail, you quickly realize that the property has a dark, mysterious past.
However, if you’re seeking the ultimate test of bravery, venture into the Case Files – procedurally generated mazes that offer endless variation and increasing difficulty. Each investigation reveals new horrors, forcing you to adapt and strategize with your fellow players. As you delve deeper, you will discover a leveling system that unlocks new monsters, maps, and rare cosmetics.
- Co-operative online multiplayer for up to 8 players and single-player.
- Cross-play: play with your friends on other platforms.
- Communication: use in-game voice chat to coordinate actions with the team.
- Story Mode: uncover the haunting history of the maze in 6 chapters.
- Case Files Mode: procedurally generated mazes ensure endless replayability.
- Create your cases, join your friends’ challenges, and complete daily quests.
- Leveling system that unlocks 19 maze types.
- Face over 30 monsters, each with unique mechanics and styles.
- Find hundreds of equipment and cosmetic items in the maze or the in-game store.
- Hardcore Case Files offer a greater challenge and exclusive cosmetic rewards.
Have you been playing Labyrinthine for a while now on the PC? Will the influx of new players help out, or will it throw things off for a short while? Why do you think it took so long to get the game out there for everyone? Will we ever see this title hit the Switch 2 now that so many titles are doing the same? Find your way down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have to share with you. Given that Labyrinthine is out there now, we might not get much more in the way of major updates. If we do, we will try to update the site for you. Although I have a feeling it will mostly be main game updates that will flow out as the lifecycle carries on.
