Metal Gear Solid fans now have a release date to mark down for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater
It feels like it has been a long time coming, but we finally have a release date for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and it will be in 2025. It feels like this was a secret that Konami was keeping under wraps for a while now, but on August 28th, we will finally get to see how well this game has been updated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is looking more and more like a shot-for-shot remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 than any kind of reimagining of the source material, but maybe I was hoping for too much from the start. Nonetheless, we have the release date set and a few little extras on the way depending on which platform you are looking to play the game on. Yes, it sounds like we are getting some kind of exclusive stuff to help sell the game on certain platforms again.
Now that we can know when to expect Metal Gear Solid Δ and that we can pre-order it in a few different ways, we can have a look at the latest visuals for the game that came to highlight it all. Again, to me, this all looks like a solid shot-for-shot remake to it all. Even when it comes to the way certain characters and scenes played out from before. Granted, it has been about twenty years since I played the original version, but it is sparking all of the memories I do have. Granted, this one does use the latest in visuals and feels as if it is using the Metal Gear Solid 5 engine to run it all, but that could just be my brain trying to work out the weirdness between it all. All I know I am hoping for is that some of the little weirdness and quirks of the original game make it in here again. Like waiting out the sniper and just letting him die of health reasons instead of needing to go through the whole boss fight situation.
