The Shattering has been given a release date so those looking for a new psychological thriller can know April will be when they can experience The Shattering
Yes, you read that up there that we now have a release date for The Shattering over on the PC. This would be the next title that is coming from SuperSexySoftware and Deck13. A nice little psychological thriller title that will have us wondering what is real or not so we can get the full truth of the events. A normal scenario that we get in these kinds of games, but seeing as we can use anything as a distraction right now, we will. This is why I am glad to hear that The Shattering will be launching on April 21st of this year. Yes, in only a few week’s time and we can add one more thing into the mix.
There is no doubt that The Shattering is a smaller title than many out there will be used to, but it does look like it is using a fun little art design and theme to keep things interesting. Unless this is all a misdirection to make sure we do not call what is going to happen in the scenes we are going to experience in the game. That is going to be my guess given how things are looking here and the size of the team that is working on The Shattering. They have to work within what they have and it would be a shame if a trailer gave everything away. Thankfully, this new one only seems to give away the release date and not much else that would fully spoil the game. Have a look below and see if it will join your gaming log.
The Shattering — Release Teaser
SuperSexySoftware and Deck13 are proud to announce the release day for the psychological thriller The Shattering. The psychological thriller indie title will be available on Steam April 21st.
The Shattering is a work of passion coming from a small group of 5 close friends. It has its roots in 2013 when the first echoes of the game started to take form in the mind of Marta Szymańska, who was studying the contrast of white and black in horror entertainment games and culture. The core theme draws on the premise that horrors and fear can be achieved through embracing white and the absence of information, rather than darkness and the obvious, though unseen, enemy.
Players will experience the key moments of John’s life that have defined and shaped him — they will be tasked with discovering the truth, shattering the lies and, ultimately, finding out what happened to him… and to remember her name.
Did you expect to get the surprise of The Shattering launching this month or do you think it is the perfect time for it to hit? Do you think that the trailers did a great job of obfuscating what is going to happen in the game or could we piece it together from what we have so far? Do you think it was a good choice to use the Mr. Clean song here to show off what is going on and will that be some sort of theme here? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more for The Shattering, we will share it all here. Be sure to keep checking in on all of that and more.
