The next behind the scenes video for Final Fantasy VII Remake is here to show off just how the story and characters have been altered since the original Final Fantasy VII
Fans of the original Final Fantasy VII are going to be either happy or let down by the latest we have here for the upcoming remake. It is going to depend on how much of your nostalgia is driving your interest in this title as it looks like Square Enix is going to be making a few other changes to the title. Specifically toward the characters and story of it all. Nothing too huge, but it is going to look to mirror the memory of the original developer instead of what we all remember. Not a terrible thing, but just know that some of the story and character personalities will be a bit different in Final Fantasy VII Remake. We will know for certain on April 10th when we load up the PS4, but here we go with the changes to look for.
As the latest video for Final Fantasy VII Remake shows, along with a very little bit of new gameplay, it looks like we are getting a lot more story that expands on the backgrounds of many of the main characters and sub-characters we know. Avalanche will be getting more details on the NPCs and more on the story bits that helped build the connections between them all. Not only that, but also more for Tifa, Aerith, and Cloud to show how all of those dynamics built up. Something that will be nice to see as this Final Fantasy VII will have more facial animations over the previous title. Something that will help express much more than we could get in the text-based system from before.
It also looks like much of the dialog script for Final Fantasy VII Remake has been rewritten for us all too. Mostly as the dialog from the original was very descriptive and direct instead of flowing as a normal conversation would. More or less, things are getting changed here to help bring the story into the new technology and advantages that offer up. There is no reason to try to explain a character is angry in their text when inflection and facial features can give that all away. Although, I am interested to see how they are going to handle the self-introspection that Cloud has where the screen was just black with text. Something is not going to be in Final Fantasy VII Remake in the same way at all, but the events will still happen.
