An updated cover for Final Fantasy VII Remake shows that other platforms may get a chance to experience Final Fantasy VII in 2021
I know there were a few of you out there that were not too happy to hear that Final Fantasy VII Remake was only going to be heading to the PS4 when it launches on March 3rd next year. More so given that Square Enix has been trying to place all of their games on as many platforms as possible as of late. With that said, get ready for some semi-good news as it does look like Final Fantasy VII Remake could be heading to other platforms in the future. Which ones are still up to debate, but what I am saying is that there is at least the more confirmed chance given the latest update to the game’s cover.
What you can see below is the latest version of Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s game cover pulled directly from the Square Enix site. If you look closely, you can see a nice little square in the bottom right that dictates the game is a timed-exclusive until March 3rd of 2021. Reading a bit more into that, that means that the PS4 version is the one we are getting in a few months, but that a deal was made to keep this Final Fantasy VII there for a bit. That or it means that they have the option to port it over. Nonetheless, it will be possible to get the game out there to more gamers if they so choose. Also after a few episodes of the game have also released.
Coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system on March 3, 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a reimagining of the iconic original game that re-defined the RPG genre, diving deeper into the world and its characters than ever before. The first game in the project will be set in the eclectic city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone gaming experience that provides a great starting point to the series. Along with unforgettable characters and a powerful story, Final Fantasy VII Remake features a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat.
How are you feeling about this update for Final Fantasy VII and do you think it means anything more than it is being made to be? Do you think it was only a matter of time before it jumped over or could this be their way of saying it will only be able to hit the PS5 after the year is up? Have you already pre-ordered and this means nothing to you as you will have played it a few times before the time limit is up? Let us all know what you are thinking and then discuss it down in the comments. As more for Final Fantasy VII Remake gets out there, we will update you here on the site. Just be sure to keep checking in for all of that and more.
