The Medium Will Be Taking Us To A New Level Of Fear

The Medium — Key Art

The Medium is announced to bring all kinds of extra fear into our lives as we take on the role of a Medium just trying to survive

It looks like Bloober Team is back at the horror games with the announcement of The Medium for the Xbox Series X and PC this holiday season. All of which was shown off during the big Xbox event this week and showing how some of the older titles we have loved will be helping shape a new experience out there. Something I am sure you will be able to see in the trailer and bit of gameplay we have for The Medium right now. At least if you are a huge horror video game fan out there and have had a chance to experience many of them already. Even if you have not, but that is just by the look of it all and things are not always as they look.

Outside of the look of things for The Medium, it looks like we will be playing a character that is what the title indicates. We will be playing the part of Marianne that has all of the different visions the trailer will see and then some. Something we will have to deal with and navigate for whatever is going on in the story here. My guess is that it will be a detective story with Marianne using her abilities for some kind of good. Splitting between both worlds that we will have as the world dissolves around. I am going to guess that other creatures will then be around as The Medium deviates from the usual walking simulators we have had from the developer in the past.

The Medium — Reveal With Gameplay

Bloober Team, the makers of Blair Witch, Observer, and Layers Of Fear, today announces its largest and most ambitious project to date — The Medium.

Launching on Xbox Series X and PC in the 2020 Holiday season, The Medium is a tension-fueled, psychological horror game built around a central motif: how your perspective changes your perception.

Players will find themselves in the body of Marianne, a medium hounded by visions, living and interacting across two worlds: the real, and the spirit world. Nothing is what it seems, everything has another side. As a medium with access to both worlds, you have a wider perspective and can see more clearly that there’s no one simple truth to what others perceive.

Are you excited to see we are getting something new-ish with The Medium here or will it still feel like what we have had in the past? Were you able to spot all of the references to past titles out there or will it all feel fresh to you from the start? Do you think this will stick to an exclusive title for the consoles or will it jump to the other out there at some point as well? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is more to share for The Medium, and we know there will be, it will be up on the site for all. All you need to do is keep checking in here for all of that and more.
