Take A New Hand-Painted Adventure Soon With Creaks

Creaks — Gameplay

New gameplay is here for Creaks for those looking to have a new puzzle game with a nice hand-painted feel with all of the Creaks we could imagine

There is a trend going on right now with the announcement of independent titles now, and we have a new look at another from Amanita Design by the way of Creaks. This is one that has seemed to fly under the radar for many out there but it has been highlighted as of late to get more eyes on the game. Maybe it is because it is an indie title or maybe it is because this is the first time we have some new gameplay to look at for it. Whatever the case is, we have new gameplay for Creaks to take in as we appreciate the art that has gone into the “hand-painted” style we will have on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC when the game finally launches at some point during this year.

As you can see below, Creaks will have us moving about a nice and creepy environment using light to manipulate enemies and items to solve puzzles. It will also house some eerie sounds and scores to keep us on edge as we attempt to figure everything out and make it through the adventure. It is also fun to see how it looks like a lot of this could be based around the weird shadows that the items would cast instead of just becoming animated objects in the darkness. You can see more for Creaks just a little lower down and get a better understanding as to what style of game this will inevitably become. It has grabbed my attention so far.

Creaks — Gameplay

From the creators of indie classics Machinarium and Samorost comes Creaks, a new puzzle adventure game that delights the senses with its hand-painted visuals, precise animation, eerie sounds, and an eclectic original score from Hidden Orchestra. Proceed at your own pace at figuring out the solutions to dozens of carefully designed puzzles, explore the mansion for hidden paintings, and uncover the great secret.

Do you like the look and feel we are getting off of Creaks here or is it going to be a niche title for only some out there? Do you think that we will see some other level of horrors from the items in the world or will it just stick to what we see here? What do you suspect is the overall story that will unfold as we venture through it all? Feel free to comment down below with what you are thinking. Also be sure to keep checking in on the site for more on Creaks and the various other indie titles it looks like we are getting updates on.
