Mortal Kombat 11 Has Three More Characters To Show For The Roster

Mortal Kombat 11 — Kollector Reveal

More characters for Mortal Kombat 11 are shown off with one of them being a new character to the Mortal Kombat franchise in general

As we loom ever closer to the release of Mortal Kombat 11, we have even more characters getting the announcement and showcasing. Most of which had been leaked out there by some people who do not know how to keep secrets and others are placed out there by NetherRealm Studios as no matter the leak no one can explain them besides the studio. One of those characters we had at the end of last week as we had The Kollector announced for Mortal Kombat 11 and shown off to the world during their normal weekly streams. Even though we saw the name, there was no true way to know what would be coming until now.

As you can see in the following trailer for the character, this is not just a new character for the Mortal Kombat franchise but also a new race with an interesting twist to some of the lore. The character is named for the job and role he has for Shao Kahn as the rest of the six-armed beings in the race. He uses quite a bit of his loot and collection to attack and harm his opponents as well as wields a bit of magic to aid in all of the other horrors he wants to place on the Mortal Kombat contestants. You can have the normal look at the character just below in the usual format while the other characters have a bit of a different way to be shown off.

Mortal Kombat 11 — Kollector Reveal

A new fighter joining the Mortal Kombat franchise, The Kollector was born into poverty and seized his collections duty with a zeal that impressed Shao Kahn, becoming one of the Emperor’s most feared associates. As more of a corrupt, mafia enforcer than a government official, The Kollector stole riches from Outworld’s people, rewarding himself with wealth and status in turn, but when Shao Kahn died, Kotal Kahn vowed to weed out the former regime’s corruption. After years in hiding, living off his ill-gotten gains, The Kollector was captured and now faces execution, determined to destroy anyone in his path.

Also during the announcement stream for The Kollector we had the official announcement and showing that Erron Black will be back in Mortal Kombat 11 and bringing a bit of a change to the character. He is still the gunslinger we all knew from before, it is just some of the other moves and traps he will use have been altered to better fit the aesthetic of it all. He is a brawler and bounty hunter so it makes a bit more sense to have that flair to it all instead of just another generic character in the Mortal Kombat universe. It was no true secret that Erron was coming back, as with all the characters now, but it is nice to see we will have that option.

Mortal Kombat 11 — Erron Black Gameplay & Character Break Down

The final character announcement we have for Mortal Kombat 11, for now, comes from a new TV Spot that we will see airing around the web and during commercial breaks. We will also get a good look at the character this week during the next Kombat Kast that NetherRealm Studios will be hosting. This character is Kitana. Not the biggest of surprises as she has been a fan favorite since she jumped into the Mortal Kombat scene so long ago. While we do not have any true in-game footage of the character, we can see how she has been altered and updated for this release here. All a nice little tease for what is to come near the end of this week as we push forward to the official release of the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 — TV Spot

The TV spot also confirms that Kitana will be joining the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. The 10,000-year-old princess of Edenia grew up believing she was Shao Kahn’s biological daughter and served as one of his deadliest warriors. When Kitana learned the truth, she fought against Shao Kahn’s attempted conquest of Earthrealm, eventually dying in battle. After being resurrected as an evil revenant version of her former self, Kitana now rules the Netherrealm alongside revenant Liu Kang, dedicated to the destruction of all the realms.

Are you glad to see all of these characters coming to Mortal Kombat 11 or were you hoping for someone else to join in on the roster? What do think about The Kollector and the new race coming to the franchise? Does this put a pin in the hope for Reptile to come back as he seems to be linked in through Erron Black now in moves and not a full character? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Mortal Kombat 11, be sure to keep checking in here. We will have all we can get our grubby mitts on.
