Dreams Will Be Entering Early Access This Coming April

Dreams — Early Access Starts April 16!

There will be an Early Access for Dreams on the PS4 and you can expect to enter into Dreams this coming April if you are lucky

We have all been waiting for Dreams to finally launch and give us all the chance to rebuild P.T. in the system to share out to the world. Maybe that is just me, but that does not change the fact that many are still waiting for this title to finally be finished by Media Molecule. That is also why I am glad to bring you the news that the wait is coming closer to an end as Dreams will be entering an Early Access phase on the PS4 on April 16th. Yes, I did say Early Access and PS4 here as that is how the title will be showing up first. Take that as you will.

If you are interested in playing with Dreams during this Early Access, you might want to get ready to play the price on the day mentioned. Only limited gamers will be allowed in on this step of the game even though you will need to pay in and it will be stripped down. More or less, they will be removing out the story mode of Dreams but it will house all of the creation and community level stuff. Effectively, you will be pay to play with the game engine and build content for everyone who waits until the full release of the game. That is how I am reading things here but I could be a bit more cynical than the rest.

Dreams — Early Access Starts April 16!

Early Access is exactly that. Early entry into Dreams, designed for creators to get hands-on with the tools. It won’t feature everything that the full release will have (our story mode being a big piece of that) but you’ll get our full toolset for creating, our interactive tutorials and arcade games, templates and additional content created by Media Molecule and access to what you, the CoMmunity, made during our Dreams Creator Beta. You’ll also be getting the first hands-on with new features and content as we add them.

Will you be trying to get in on the Early Access for Dreams or will you be waiting until you can play everything out there? Is it weird that we will be seeing this as an Early Access or does it make sense to get all the kinks worked out before a full launch? Is it also weird that there will be a limited number of people allowed in on this or does it make sense given the design of it all? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Dreams and other games out there, be sure to keep checking in here. We will keep all of those updates flowing to you as best we can.
