Although, it does leave us all wanting more and we are just going to have to settle for this nice little clip we have today.

I say little, but there is a good chunk of footage for Black Myth here to look at. We have some new characters that look as if they will be there to help drive the story forward and then we have more of the massive bosses we are going to have to face off with. Some of them leaning in on the brute force of things and others use a bit more of the mysticism to their advantage. Black Myth: WuKong — Gamescom 2023

New combat against fearsome foes in this latest trailer for Black Myth: Wukong from gamescom 2023. This is an upcoming action-adventure RPG from developer Game Science. Black Myth: Wukong is set in the 16th Century and focuses on traditional Chinese folklore, and will be available in Summer 2024.

Again, with little context into the culture myself, Black Myth: WuKong looks like it could be introducing many to all of that. For those that do not fully care, though, it does look like this will have even more of the strong combat mechanics that blew us all away when the first teaser “leaked” out there. The attention to detail on things is also rather impressive. Keep a close eye on the way that our character dodges and deflects during the last battle scene we have. I am pretty sure we can see individual feathers bouncing into other things as the staff knocks them out of the way. Cultured or not, Black Myth: WuKong looks like it is pushing some bounds in the gaming space, and I am always here for that.

Were you expecting to see something big for Black Myth during Gamescom or did you think it was going to slip by until the end of the year? Did you catch many of the cultural things in the video here or will you need to take a course on it all to fully get it? How much detail will we see in the final game and will it blow our minds no matter how the story of it all impacts us? Take to the comments and then discuss it all there. More for Black Myth: Wukong should be coming at us randomly, so be sure to keep an eye on the site for all of that. With any luck, it will be sooner and not later.
