Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden Offers Up A Look At The Gameplay We Will Experience

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden — Extended Gameplay

The Banishers are out there in the world as we have an extended gameplay look at the upcoming Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

Even if we are going to have to wait until after the “spooky time” of year to play it, we should still be getting excited for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden to drop on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It looks like a new twist to the adventure RPG style of game that DON’T NOD has given us in the past. This one does give us two different characters to play with while heading out there and doing what good Banishers do. If you are not sure what that might be yet, we have a nice long bit of gameplay to get us further excited for November 7th to come along and put the game in our hands. Then we might be able to make different choices if we are so inclined.

It should go without saying, but there are a few spoilers for Banishers in this new fifteen minutes of gameplay we have to share with you. Gameplay that takes us through the basic dialog of a mission, hunting down the enemies out there, progressing some of our gear along the way, banishing a massive boss character, and then solving the mystery of what exactly was going on between two sisters. All leads to what looks like will be one of the big replay values for Banishers, where we have to figure out who might be possessed by a different demon out there and causing even more of an issue. An interesting twist, but this does make me wonder what will happen if we select the wrong option.

  • The Standard Edition can be pre-ordered now on Steam.
  • The Collector’s Edition is also available for pre-order on the Focus Store and comes with a separable statuette of Red and Antea, the game’s official artbook, a Steelbook, two Banishers signet rings, and a digital copy of the game for PC, with the Wanderer Set in-game DLC.

It is interesting to see how we are going to have to fight our way through some of the various creatures in Banishers and swap between the living and dead protagonists. This gameplay makes it look like it is a clean swap with no input needed, but I have a feeling that might be just how the shots were collected for this. It would make more sense in the gameplay if we, the players, needed to be able to time all of that correctly instead. Given that Banishers does look as if it is swapping between views between the living and the dead during scenes, though, this could just be how the game keeps the cinematic nature of it all flowing better than we ever could. Not much longer and we should know for certain.

How are you feeling about Banishers based on all of this wonderful footage we have here today? Do you think we are going to have to make all of the shifts between the two characters or will that happen seamlessly by the game? Do you think these choices are going to have massive outcomes along the way or will it just change up fights and who is alive at the end of the story? Take to the comment section to talk about all of this if you so wish to. We are going to share all that we can for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden here on the site, so please keep coming on back to see and hear all of that as we get closer to the full launch of the game out there.
