You Are Not Hallucinating As We Have New Gameplay For Ontotis

Ontotis — Gameplay

New horrors are on the way with Ontotis and here we have some new gameplay before the October launch of Ontotis

New horrors are on the way to us all on October 6th with the upcoming Ontotis. A weird name, but the next title that Xenoplasis Games is working on for the PC to give us more of the horror style we love. That being the horror of the walking simulator in the creepy and haunted locations out there. Not the biggest of shifts in the genre, but Ontotis is at least trying to elevate a few things with a different story and setting beside a dusty old house from centuries ago. Even if there does look like we are going to have at least one of those in the process of the full game out there.

As you will be able to see in the new gameplay footage for Ontotis, we are setting out into a town where all of the residents have just up and gone missing. Now, we will have to head out and uncover all of the clues and other mysteries out there to find out just what happened and how we will be able to avoid the other horror figure stalking us as we go about our time in Ontotis. All so we can add another haunting tale to the growing list of them out there. Better to have them in a virtual form than in a real one for many. All with a nice little extra for the Halloween experience this year. That has to be a bigger selling point here.

Ontotis — Gameplay

Ontotis is a psychological horror game focusing on atmosphere, mystery, and an engaging story. Uncover scattered clues to unveil the chilling fate of the house’s residents, while encountering a mysterious humanlike figure seemingly connected to them in their haunting tale.

The game is set for release on October 6th, 2023, on Steam for Windows platform.

At first glance, Ontotis does look like many other titles in the same vein that we have had over the year. Not a terrible thing, but another trying to use the popularity of titles like P.T. and Layers Of Fear to give some weirdness and some terror in the mix. All of this still boils down to a haunted house walking simulation. It does look like we will have some fun little things to pick up and use along the way out there, but it does not show if we are going to be using any of this on the horrors of Ontotis or just using them to break open doors and open other locations in the mix. Not a bad thing, again, just something worth noting.

Were you aware of Ontotis before this update or is this also the first you have been hearing about it all? How do you think it is going to change up the gameplay genre here or will it just give one more story in the mix of the same gameplay? Will we be able to use these items on the creature stalking us or will we only be able to use them in specific ways along the way? Venture on down to the comment section and then discuss all of this. We will share whatever else we can for Ontotis, so please check in for those updates and the others we will have for all of your other video games out there too.
